Moscow claims capture of Ukrainian Soledar salt mine town

Russian forces were reported by the Defense Ministry on Friday to to have seized the salt mine town of Soledar, although the fighting continues. If confirmed, this would be a major breakthrough for the Russian army. The victory would allow Russian troops to push on to the nearby city of Bakhmut, and cut off the Ukrainian forces there, a spokesman said.
