Moscow implies Israel air offensive hit Iranian, Syrian, Hizballah target

In response to the outbreak of clashes over northern Israel Saturday, Moscow pointed to the “danger of escalating tensions within and around Syria’s de-escalation zones, which is of particular concern.” DEBKAfile: Russia’s concern relates primarily to the major Israeli offensive conducted Saturday against 12 targets in Syria, which targeted two Iranian, Syrian and Hizballah concentrations – one outside Quneitra opposition Israel’s Golan border with Syria, and the other in the Daraa de-escalation zone in the south. This was suggested in the second part of the Russian communique: “The Syrian government forces are complying with the existing arrangements to provide the consistent functioning of the de-escalation zone in the south-west of the country” and “We consider it necessary to unconditionally respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria and other countries of the region.” Moscow finally urged all the involved parties to “exercise restraint and avoid any steps that could lead to aggravation of the situation.”
The Israeli air offensive was launched after the loss of an F-16 jet to Syrian air defense fire during an IAF strike to destroy a facility in central Syria, from which an Iranian drone was launched into Israeli air space early Saturday morning. The drone was intercepted and recovered by the IDF.

The Russians are uping the game in Syria, this means they want a clash with the
    IAF too test their pilots.
Mr Putin don’t come crying if you lose a few pilots and aircraft,it will be your fault.

We shall see shortly. What is clear is that crazy Assad and Iran’s mullahs are trying to provoke Russia into a clash with Israel. For Russia it is a bad time to get involved. I doubt this will happen. But Iran is becoming really dangerous provocateur. War is possible.

It is not going to be a very long war with Trump in White House and Mad Dog at Pentagon. Iranians were crying to international community about what they called a massacre last week by Americans (100 Iranian/Proxies dead – US zero dead or wounded).

Look at it this way: Russia gets into a fight (so far from their home) with Israel: only NATO wins.

Russian media (RT) reported shoot down before IDF did. T-4 where drones were kept is a Russian controlled base. Even if a Syrian had his finger on the trigger, the Russians pulled the strings of the Syrian like a puppet. It was ALL Russian missiles, on an all Russian defence system, trained by Russians, financed by Russians, services by Russians. IDF were tracked on Russian radar. So no the Russians had nothing to do with it it was a 100% Syrian shoot down.

If Israel takes out Assad. Who is going to give Putin permission to stay in Syria?

Putin forgets he is playing in the Premiership here. The IDF is no Ukraine. Putin cannot use nuclear weapons against Israel because he then loses Moscow etc., so he can lose a lot of conventional forces very very quickly.

Not sure who is crazy ; Israelis that if involve in the war, will loose all their ground forces , since they are no match to those warring parties , that will unite . As far as air forces it was seen yesterday –its enough to try answer Israeli American trial of defenses, in Syria and Lebanon , for Israel to close half the country down . What was the result of the Israeli guided stupidity by American order — a loss of 5 aircrafts , in which 1 shot down , 2 barely escaped with halls , that penetrated fuselage and almost exploded and other 2 that lost completely guidance systems .
Want a guess —American will get it , and it will be not only in ME but in NY . Suggestion to Israelis to stop using ground to ground rockets , since one of their rockets will blow their own Dimona plant .
