Moscow slams ‘disinformation’ on air strikes

At a press conference on Wednesday in New York with US Secretary of State John Kerry, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told reporters, “Don’t listen to (the) Pentagon about the Russian strikes.” The airstrikes targeted ISIS positions, vehicles and warehouses, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said Wednesday. But officials in Western countries were skeptical. US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said the Russian air force appeared to have targeted areas that were not under ISIS control. He also claimed that Russia’s military moves are “doomed to fail.”
