Moscow tells Israel to stop attacks on Damascus airport – report

Russian officials have informed Israel that any more attacks on or around Damascus airport will not be tolerated, the London-based Al Quds al-Arabia reported Friday. Moscow is planning steps to bring the airport back to full operational and commercial capability, the paper quoted Russian “technical sources” as saying. There was no comment on what would happen in the event of further Israeli attacks on Iranian flights carrying weapons or military equipment. Neither was there any comment from Israel. DEBKAfile: The IDF spokesman on Thursday reported that a senior Russian military delegation had held talks with Israeli counterparts on Israel’s operations against Iranian targets and the two parties had reached common understandings.

Or what? Israel and its allies, and maybe Israel alone, can defeat any forces Russia has in Syria. It’s 30 old jets are no match for Israel’s air force. It’s surface ships are easy targets, and it’s AA systems have already been defeated in previous attacks by blinding and falsing it’s radars. Russia in Syria is in no position to demand anything. The only card Russia has left to play is nukes, and Israel is sitting on ICBM’s and hundreds of nukes. Iran is in an even worse position and would be defeated in a day. So STFU Putler!!

What is Russia doing about stopping arms shipments from Iran to Syria? If the answer is that they are facilitating it, then Russia is the problem here as the biggest occupier in a region far away from Moscow.

Why doesn’t KGB Putin welcome and transfer refugees from Syria, Iraq and Africa to Moscow????

Russia is much closer to the Middle East than Western Eurabia.
