A powerful explosion knocks over the TV tower in Kyiv

Shortly after Moscow warned Kyiv residents to leave their homes ahead of “high precision strikes,” smoke rose over the TV tower at the center of the capital from a powerful explosion Tuesday afternoon.

On Day 6 of the Russian invasion, the defense ministry in Moscow warned residents of Kyiv on Tuesday to leave their homes ahead of the “high precision” strikes coming against the Security Service of Ukraine and the 72nd Center for Information and Psychological operations. A huge armored column continued to slowly roll towards the capital.

The regional government building in Kharkiv and Freedom Square were heavily bombarded,  causing huge explosions and numerous civilian casualties.
