Moshe Barkat takes charge of Israel Police’s Judea and Samaria District

Senior Israel Police officer Moshe Barkat was promoted from assistant commissioner to deputy commissioner and appointed as commander of the police's Judea and Samaria District on Thursday. The 50-year-old Barkat's previous positions included advisor to Internal Security Minister Gilad Erdan, commander of the unit responsible for the holy sites in Jerusalem, and head of the operations branch.
