Mossad chief’s tenure extended to June 2021
The prime minister’s office announced Sunday the extension of Mossad Direct0r Yossi Cohen’s tenure by six months “due to security challenges confronting Israel.”
Cohen’s five-year term was to have ended on January 2021. By extending his tenure up until next June, Binyamin Netanyahu gets to select his successor before the premiership rotates to Kahol leader Benny Gantz. Cohen is one of the prime minister’s most trusted advisers.
