Mubarak’s former spy chief Omar Suleiman dies
Gen. Omar Suleiman, long-serving Egyptian intelligence minister, died Thursday at a Cleveland hospital in the US while undergoing medical tests. Aged 76, he was gravely ill with an undisclosed ailment. Suleiman served briefly as Vice President before announcing Hosni Mubarak’s resignation last year in the face of the Tahrir Sq. revolution.
