Murderer of Abu Khdeir cannot be convicted due to mental state: court

The Jerusalem district court ruled on Monday that Yosef Haim Ben David, the main suspect in the murder of Palestinian teenager Mohammed Abu Khdeir in July 2014, committed the act but cannot be convicted because of his mental state. Judges Yaakov Tzaban, Rafi Carmel and Rivka Fridman-Feldman also found two Israeli minors who also participated in the crime guilty of murder. In addition, the court decided to reconvene in a month to rehear the case.
