Name released of third Israeli fatality from Istanbul bombing

The three Israelis who were murdered by a suicide bomber on the main pedestrian street of Istanbul Saturday were confirmed Sunday as Avraham Goldman, 69, from Herzliya, Simcha Damari, 60, from Dimona and Yonatan Shor, 40, from Tel Aviv. The number of Israelis not accounted for has dropped from six to three. No group has taken responsibility for the attack which caused four deaths – three Israelis and an Iranian – and injured 39 people – 11 of them Israeli tourists. Two of the Israeli victims held dual US citizenship.
The identity of he Istiklal Avenue bomber is now reported as Mehmet Ozturk, 24, born in Gaziantep and a suspected ISIS member on the ”terror-qualified missing persons” list. Ozturk’s father and brother were detained by police after the attack. His identity was confirmed following DNA tests of samples taken from his father.
