Hizballah leader Hassan Nasrallah, in his first comment on the drone that exploded on the roof of the organization’s media center in Beirut early Sunday, said it was a military UAV. He also said it was not clear whether the drone’s crash was caused by a malfunction or a rock tossed by a youth. In Nasrallah’s view, “An Israeli suicide drone attack took place on a target in Beirut’s southern suburbs.” The overnight attack is the first Israeli aggression in Lebanon since August 14, 2006, he said, and “it is a dangerous attack. From now on, we will target any Israeli drone that violates Lebanon’s airspace.” The Hizballah leader advised the dwellers of northern Israel “not to rest.” What Israel attacked in Syria did not house Al Qods Brigades but Hizballah fighters, he reported, at least five were killed. If Israel kills any of our members in Syria, we’ll respond in Lebanon, not in the Shebaa Farms, and we tell Israel’s army on the border to beware.Lebanon has called for a UN Security Council meeting over the breach of the country’s sovereignty.
