Navy scuttles Palestinian arms boat from Egypt

A Palestinian boat was smuggling ammunition and anti-tank rockets for Hamas in the Gaza Strip from Egyptian Sinai, when challenged to halt by an Israeli vessel early Sunday. When it stayed on course for Gaza, the Israeli seamen opened fire. The Palestinian smugglers jumped overboard off the Gaza coast and swam to shore. Their boat sank with its arms cargo. No one was hurt in the incident.
