Nepal quake death toll rose to 1,250 Saturday night. With the country cut off by a devastating earthquake and Everest snow avalanches, Israel is to fly two rescue and medical planes to a nearby airport, ready to land as soon as Kathmandi airport opens. With communications cut off, the situation is unclear regarding the thousands of Israeli tourists believed to be in Nepal, a favorite destination, including mountain climbers, trekkers, backpackers and residents. The Israeli embassy was damaged along with many of the buildings in Kathamandu. Pesonnel are working out in the open to care for the hundreds of people seeking help. Beit Habad is also looking after peole in distress. A large group of parents was caught in the country with 24 newborn babies born to surrogate mothers. Some are premature and in desperate need of medical care.
