Netanyahu and Gantz meeting ends without accord

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Kahol-Lavan leader Benny Gantz sat down for 45 minutes in Tel Aviv on Tuesday without achieving a breakthrough on a power-sharing deal for avoiding a third election. In earlier meetings with Likud members, the prime minister said that a unity government was still possible and worth striving for, since if offered a one-time opportunity for historic achievements.

    I have to wonder how much the Satmars and Neturei Karta are behind all of this political turmoil. The head of the Satmar sect was just in Israel.
