Netanyahu cuts short Greece visit and returns home

Due to high tension following the death of Iran’s senior Mid East commander Gen. Qassem Soleimani in a US attack, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu returned home on Friday. He cut short his visit to Athens after signing a gas pipeline accord with Greece and Cyprus. In Tel Aviv, Defense Minister Naftali Bennett and Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Aviv Kochavi have convened an urgent conference of national military and security leaders, after elevating the military emergency preparedness level.
