Netanyahu declines UNESCO invitation
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu declined an invitation to attend a UNESCO conference on anti-Semitism over its “persistent and egregious bias” against the Jewish state. He said in a statement issued by his office that UNESCO “must do more than host a conference on anti-Semitism. It must stop practicing anti-Semitism.” Following the US, Israel withdrew from the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in 2017 over its anti-Israel policies.
