Netanyahu delays meeting with Putin to complete right-wing merger

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has postponed his trip to Moscow for scheduled talks with President Vladimir Putin on Thursday, because he is racing against time  to secure a union between his Likud and three smaller right-wing parties, Jewish Home, National Union and Otzmah. The deadline for registering lists for the April 9 election falls on the same Thursday, Feb. 21.  See DEBKAfile’s Special Report.
