Netanyahu flies to Tokyo for four-day visit

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, accompanied by his family, left for Japan Saturday night for a four-day visit, during which he will discuss increasing diplomatic and economic cooperation with Japanese leaders. Scheduled are meetings with the emperor, the prime minister, ministers, economic leaders and businessmen. They will discuss Iran and other Middle East issues, but also cooperation between Israel in Japan in the fields of cyber development, water, alternative energies, biotechnology. Israel’s exports to Japan stand at $1.1 billion and its imports at $1.5 billion. In 2014, Israeli trade with the Far East expanded to the second slot after the US.
