Netanyahu: Full backing for government, security forces
Caretaker PM Yair Lapid met opposition leader Binyamin Netanyahu Sunday morning for a mandatory briefing on the state of the IDF’s counter-terror Operation Sunrise in the Gaza Strip. Former PM Netanyahu said later that he extended “full backing to the government, the IDF and security forces.” After listening closely to Lapid’s report, Netanyahu said he drew on his experience to offer some advice in certain fields. “I think that my advice can be very useful to the state of Israel,” he said.
“I also commend the residents of the south for their resilience and urge them to continue to heed the instructions from the Homefront Command. This truly saves lives,” Netanyahu tells reporters.
