Netanyahu gains another two weeks for cabinet-building

Binyamin Netanyahu presented himself to the president Monday to ask for an extra two weeks to build a coalition government that is stable and able to cope with national challenges. The first 28 days of Likud’s negotiations with potential partners failed to reach accord. President Reuven Rivlin assented. The final deal was held up by last-minute disputes over ministerial posts among the junior partners.
