Netanyahu has two days to apply for immunity from prosecution

PM Binyamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that in two days’ time he will announce whether he has decided to apply for immunity from prosecution on the three indictments against him. He said in the past that this request does not absolve him from trial. However, the prime minister said, the right of an elected prime minister and a lawmaker to immunity from prosecution so long as he is in office is “a cornerstone of democracy.”
