Netanyahu in defense of the Golan

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced he will convene the next cabinet meeting on Sunday April 17th in the Golan Heights. Netanyahu is also scheduled to meet President Putin in Moscow on Thursday April 21. The meeting will be the opening shot of one of the most crucial battles Israel will face in the next decade – the battle over the Golan Heights. The Results of that battle will determine the fate of Netanyahu’s political career as well as Israel’s strategic position in the Middle East. All this follows an agreement President Obama and Putin had reached earlier to include in the draft resolution of the Geneva Conference an article that calls Israel to return the Golan Heights to Syria.
