Netanyahu: Iran must not have centrifuges or enriched uranium
Israel’s Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Thursday that the best defense against a nuclear Iran is to keep a nuclear weapon out of its hands. Addressing a ceremony in Netanya marking the 69th anniversary of the WWII victory over Nazi Germany, Netanyahu said Tehran needs centrifuges and enriched uranium for the single purpose of building a nuclear weapon. “Tehran must be deprived of that capability,” he stressed. DEBKAfile: His remarks indicated that Israel was still at odds with the US on the Iranian nuclear issue – even after the talks National Security Adviser Susan Rice held with Israeli leaders this week.
