Netanyahu: Kerry’s speech unbalanced and disappointing
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Wednesday night that he found the US Secretary of State John Kerry’s views on a Middle East peace, which “compared building houses in Jerusalem to terrorism“ as unbalanced and biased as the UN resolution. Unfortunately, he said, Secretary Kerry put the blame for the absence of peace on Israel, instead of correctly attributing it to the Palestinian refusal to accept Israel’s right to exist; hence its leader’s refusal to face Israel for peace negotiations. Netanyahu noted that Israel was the only place in the Middle East where Christians can freely celebrate Christmas. Yet Kerry spent a whole hour denigrating the only democracy in the region. The prme minister expressed the hope that the Obama administration would refrain from doing any more damage to Israel at the United Nations.
