Netanyahu meets with leaders of Greece, Cyprus
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met separately on Thursday with his Greek counterpart Alexis Tsirpas and Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades ahead of their trilateral summit in the Greek city of Thessaloniki. Among the topics on the summit agenda are plans to cooperate in developing a natural gas pipeline from Israel's offshore fields to Europe via Cyprus and Greece. Also on the agenda are joint efforts in the fields of innovation, security, renewable energy, the environment and telecommunications, among others. Over 3,500 members of the Greek security forces were deployed around Greece's second-largest city for the summit.
