Netanyahu, Modi ink deals to open up new horizons for Israel-India ties

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu held talks on Wednesday with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi in Jerusalem and signed a series of bilateral agreements on fields such as innovation, agriculture, water management and space. Netanyahu said in remarks following their meeting that bilateral cooperation could revolutionize ties as well as improve the lives of millions of people. He also said that the two countries stand together in facing the threat of terror.
On his part, Modi said the Israel-India relationship is extending into new fields, and that the two countries "agreed to do much more to protect our strategic interests" including in the cyber field.
The agreements signed by Israel and India include a memorandum of understanding to establish a $40 million fund to support technological innovation; MOUs between the Israeli space agency and its Indian counterpart; and an agreement on water-related infrastructure including the sharing of Israeli conservation knowhow.
