Netanyahu: More than ever committed to avert a nuclear-armed Iran
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu told his parliamentary faction Monday that he had never promised to prevent a nuclear deal with Iran, only Iran’s attainment of a nuclear weapon. The prime minister was responding to opposition spokesmen who accused him of running a failed campaign against the accord – which is widely called a bad deal – that the six powers and Iran are expected to sign in Vienna. Netanyahu stressed that were not for the strenuous efforts of his government – especially on tough sanctions – the deal would have been a lot worse.
