Netanyahu phones Putin to discuss S-300s for Iran

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu talked to Russian President Vladimir Putin Tuesday night for almost an hour about the decision to release advanced Russian S-300 missile systems to Iran. He protested that this weapon would aggravate Iran’s belligerence in the Middle East. Putin stuck to his claim that the S-300 was a purely defensive weapon that would not harm Israel.
