Netanyahu pledges to stay out of law enforcement appointments

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Wednesday promised the Supreme Court on Wednesday to refrain from taking a hand in  law enforcement appointments, such as the attorney general, the state prosecutor or the police commissioner. He was replying to a petition filed by a group calling itself the Movement for Quality of Government. The petitioners responded: “We welcome the Prime Minister’s announcement, but it is not enough.”
