Netanyahu: PM is determined by elections, not investigations
Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu, while answering questions from members of the Knesset on Wednesday, said regarding the investigations of him that "It is permitted by law to accept gifts from friends. The goal (of the investigations) is to replace the government using pressure. But the prime minister is not replaced by investigations." Earlier, Israel's Reshet Bet radio station reported that Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit tends to view the investigation of Netanyahu over the "file 1000" affair as a matter of breach of trust only. In response to questions from Arab members of the Knesset on the recent demolition of illegally-built homes in Kalanswa and Umm-al-Hiran, Netanyahu said the country's construction laws are enforced equally for all.
