Netanyahu prepares full lockdown plan for cabinet approval

PM Binyamin Netanyahu announced on Tuesday that he is convening the coronavirus cabinet on Wednesday to approve a national lockdown to go into effect in the coming days against the alarming surge of covid infection. It will most likely be imposed for three weeks. He also said that the British covid variant may have already reached Israel, although no time was lost before closing the international airport and sending arrivals into quarantine.
