Netanyahu returns home amid furor over 2014 Gaza war report
A mutual fault-finding furor over Israel’s 2014 anti-terror war in the Gaza Strip greeted Binyamin Netanyahu on his return from a “wonderful” trip to Australia early Monday, the first by a serving |sraeli prime minister. The State Comptroller’s report on Operation Protective Edge is due for publication Tuesday afternoon. The operation put an end to nearly a decade of Palestinian rocket attacks on southern Israel from Gaza, but was unable to put to rest the threat of the undiscovered terror tunnels snaking under the border. Leaks from the report have sparked a storm of controversy over who was responsible for what.
