Netanyahu: The armed UAV over the Jordan last week was Iranian

PM Minister Binyamin Netanyahu disclosed to visiting German foreign minister Heiko Maas on Thursday that the armed drone downed over the Jordan Valley two days ago was sent by Iran via Iraq or Syria. “As we fight on different fronts… Iran is not only behind the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Gaza with full funding, but also arms Hamas and Hizballah – providing the groundwork for terrorist organizations to operate in the Middle East and worldwide,” he said. Maas reiterated that Germany condemns Hamas attacks and holds it responsible for the escalation. Israel has the right to defend itself, he said.
Netanyahu then went on to meet Czech Foreign Minister Jakub Kulhanek and his Slovakian counterpart Ivan Korocok, who jointed the German minister in a solidarity visit to Israel.
