Netanyahu to leave for Washington ahead of talks with Trump
Before taking off for Washington at Monday noon, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu called a security cabinet meeting to go through the issues and working papers he is taking with him for his meeting with President Donald Trump Wednesday. Sources close to Netanyahu disclosed that, when the two leaders talked by phone two days after Trump’s swearing-in, the prime minister presented the argument that the Palestinians were their own obstacle to statehood, to which the president replied that Ramallah was ready for concessions.
