Netanyahu to meet Kerry on steps for easing tensions with the Palestinians

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and US Secretary of State John Kerry are due to meet later Tuesday to discuss steps for reducing tensions and cooling the current wave of Palestinian anti-Israel terror. This was arranged at Netanyahu’s talks with Barack Obama Monday, which the prime minister termed his best ever with the US president. Both demonstrably put behind them the crisis in their personal relations over the Iranian nuclear accord and moved on to productive concurrence on current issues: the Syrian conflict, the dangers posed by the Islamic State, and expanded US military assistance, whose extent is to be worked out bilaterally by two teams.
