Netanyahu to meet US special envoy again on Thursday afternoon

Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu said Thursday morning at the beginning of a weekly cabinet meeting that he will meet later in the day with Jason Greenblatt, special envoy of US President Donald Trump, to discuss the issue of building settlements. He reiterated that he remains committed to establishing a new settlement for those who were evacuated last month from the Israeli outpost of Amona.
The prime minister told the ministers that he and Russian President Vladimir Putin, at their meeting in Moscow on March 9, discussed topics related to Iran's attempts to establish a military presence in Syria, including a naval base, as well as Tehran's continued attempts to transfer advanced weapons to Hizballah via Syria. Netanyahu also mentioned that he will be departing on Sunday for China where he will hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
