Netanyahu: UN distorts facts by referring Israel “occupation” to the Hague court

“The Jewish people cannot be an occupier in its own land,” said PM Binyamin Netanyahu in a strong statement negating the “despicable” UN resolution referring Israel’s “occupation of Palestinian territory” to the International Court of Justice at the Hague. He said that Israel would not be bound by the resolution, that was carried on Thursday by 87 votes to 26 with 53 abstentions. The UNGA motion also called for an investigation into Israeli measures “aimed at altering the demographic composition, character and status of the Holy City of Jerusalem.”
