Netanyahu: We changed the rules of the game

PM and Defense Minister Binyamin Netanyahu replied to critics at the end of a security assessment at IDF southern command HQ on Monday afternoon: “In the last two days [of a Palestinian 700-rocket barrage], we went back to assassinating terrorist ringleaders, killed scores of terrorists and knocked over their high-rise buildings. We changed the rules of the game.” Netanyahu added that he had ordered the armored and artillery units deployed to the Gaza sector to stay put. He spoke after taking heavy flak during the day for accepting a ceasefire with Hamas and Islamic Jihad without exacting decisive consequences for their aggression.

    Bibi’s impotent “eloquence” is not only misleading, but positively nauseating by now !
    What an insult to even an average Jewish intelligence …

      Had there been any Jewish intelligence left, there would be no one to vote for him.

        If Bibi had ordered in troops, and body bags returned. The public would scream and then Bibi would have dead young men on his conscience. It’s so easy to war talk but a lot harder to have young men die. Bibi did the very best option available.

      Typical lefty, all bluster and bravado and feral attacks, but no substance. Lather, rinse, repeat. Easy to ignore now.

    He sure changed the rules of the game –
    before: 700+ rockets – we decimate Hamas;
    Now: any number of rockets – Hamas still gets paid.
    I’m beginning to think that maybe Israel *do* deserve Bibi. 🙁

    There is something else going on:
    1) Netanyahu is waiting for the Trump peace plan to be unveiled and then formally rejected by Hamas and the PLO/Fatah. The plan will be too good for any sane “Palestinian” to turn down, but they will. Then the USA and Israel can work on finding someone to accept it, which means the targeting killings will continue.
    2) A war in Gaza means Hezbollah may start a war in the north along with Iran from Syria. The USA sailed two carrier strike forces in the area for a reason.

    Give Netanyahu a break…for now.

    Natanyahou should get a full pardon from the President and retire. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

    Is there some secret, sane explanation for the evidently indecisive, even cowardly IDF behavior ?!
    The next month will tell – deeply pessimistic to this writer…
