Netanyahu: We deny UNESCO’s right of existence
“By denying Israel’s right to sovereignty in Jerusalem, UNESCO denies its own right to exist,” Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Tuesday at the World Young Bible Quiz taking place in Jerusalem on Israel’s Independence Day.
He was referring to the UNESCO resolution due to be passed on the same day that would reject the Jewish state’s rights in any part of Jerusalem and criticize its construction projects in the Old City. It was submitted by Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Qatar and Sudan, and will most likely pass, given the automatic anti-Israel majority in UN bodies. Alone of Europe, Italy is expected to join the US in opposing the resolution
