New Crimean PM asks Putin to help “maintain peace”

Crimea's new pro-Moscow prime minister Serhiy Aksyonov Saturday asked President Vladimir Putin for help in “maintaining peace in the region,” as Kiev accused Moscow of pouring  6,000 more troops into the peninsula. Appointed by the Crimean parliament on Thursday, Aksyonov said he was taking control of Crimea's interior ministry, armed forces, fleet and border guards "on a temporary basis.” Crimea is now cut off from the rest of Ukraine after combat troops took control of its two airports and roads. The IDF did not state whether the rockets came from Syria or Lebanon.
