New Israeli supersonic air-to-ground missile

The new air to surface missile, dubbed Rampage after a popular video game, is a powerful weapon hard to detect or intercept and equipped with a warhead, rocket engine and advanced navigation for precision targeting, say its makers Israeli Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Military Industry Systems (IMI). It is also cheaper to produce than comparable weapons in Israel’s arsenal. The 4.7-meter long missile weighing 570 kilos is designed for strikes on command centers, air force bases, infrastructure and field targets shielded by air defense batteries. “Sending four fighter jets carrying four Rampage missiles [each] allows us to strike under conditions we’ve never had before,” said Eli Reiter of Israel Military Industries (IMI).

      Catching up?

If you put best 10 russian pilots against best 10 Israeli pilots in the best planes the score would be:

      10 dead Russians

Which is why Russia keeps away from IDF

Lol.. Putin may kill Israel any time if it’s necessary, don’t compare a real big military power of Russia with Esrael, it’s ridiculous.

Israel has a Spy in the Sky and he is a Jew, the LORD Jesus Christ. If Russia chooses to attack Ezekiel 38-39 will be fulfilled.

That explains why Israeli fighters heading towards Syria turned back when Russian Su35 approached recently 😀

Russians are not Anglos or Brits to screw dogs. Just look who is the Chuck`s half is ?As far as supersonics in Israel , if achieved, they should be congratulated . But than they did send satellites to space with the help of Russians , and there is nothing really new in it . Mach 10 guided flying is something new , and Israel is as far from it as the rest of the world . High dependency on Russian materials and know how they employ in Rafael , does not make it yet …..Still its good .

Too much hype. It’s not a true supersonic missile able to cruise at 4-5 Mach. It’s a kind of imitation, when the rocket assisted by the force of gravitation and rocket engine on the descending part of its trajectory is able to accelerate and achieve supersonic speed. It’s the same trick as Russians had pulled recently by attaching Iskander surface to ground missile to the plane. It resembles solutions used in 1950s when rocket busters accelerated conventional jet fighter for short period of time to the supersonic speeds.Missile cruising at supersonic speed is in development by NASA still.

Zvi, no offense, but I would wager you’re not an Israeli rocket scientist. I guess Israel’s defense industry should consult you first because you’re an expert on making comments about rockets. lol

This looks like the ideal weapon to take out the Fagatollah in Qoms, as well as his nuclear installations in Natanz and Fordow; just attach a nuclear warhead to it and send the Mad Mullahs to Paradise on the nuclear fireball. They will thoroughly enjoy the ride!

Putin may be Maniacally fanatical about: “Russia uber alles” – but he is also a well-informed,
highly cynical, and soberly Realistic about the unsurpassed IAF and Israeli intelligence – and acts accordingly — because he is not foolishly oblivious to potential serious harm – both to his military force reputation and his political career !

Israel is already on par with Russian military technology, and most probably well surpasses Russia. Israel has a massive arms export industry across the globe to many countries with the most sophisticated weapon and defense systems in the world.

Thanks, Anton, . . . I needed the laugh, . . . things were kinda stale here today:

“Lol.. Putin may kill Israel any time if it’s necessary, don’t compare a real big military power of Russia with Esrael, it’s ridiculous.”

Russian “anything” on it’s way to harm Israel would not have gotten it’s engine warmed up before there would be retaliation on it’s way. You must be a rag head or a sympathizer, . . . you need to wake up and smell the flowers.
