New US sanctions on NKorea “only first step”
In response to North Korean hacking attack on Sony Pictures, Obama Friday signed an executive order that allows the Treasury Department to block 10 top North Korean officials, along with three state defense agencies, from using the U.S. financial system. Under the sanctions, U.S. citizens are also barred from conducting business with the targeted individuals and state bodies.
"Today's actions are the first aspect of our response," White House press secretary Josh Earnest said in a statement.
