New Year poll: 82pc of Israelis see existential threat to country
According to a New Year poll for Kol Israel radio, 82 pc of Israelis feel their country still lives under a threat to its existence, mainly from Iran’s nuclear program. A small majority of 52 pc favors a two-state solution of the Palestinian issue, 35 pc would vote for Binyamin Netanyahu today, while opposition leader Yitzhak Herzog rates 15 percent, two percent more than Yair Lapid, head of the opposition Future party. The don’t knows amounted to 28 percent.
