New York Statue of Liberty evacuated over bomb scare

New York Police and bomb squad are hunting for a suspicious package which was reportedly left on Liberty Island Friday. The alert came from a telephone threat and police dogs which detected a suspicious scent. Many thousands of tourists were cleared from the Statue of Liberty and Liberty Island in New York Harbor.
