No announcement from Israel’s security cabinet on Gaza
Not a word was issued on measures for resolving the Gaza crisis when Israel’s security cabinet ended its special session early Thursday morning after five hours. Invited to the session were Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gady Eisenkot, who cut short his US trip, National Security Adviser Meir Ben Shabat and Shin Bet Director Nadav Argaman. Prime Minister Netanyahu directed the ministers to refrain from public comments on the Gaza situation. Israeli towns and communities on the Gaza border were told by the Home Front Command that the restrictions imposed on their movements on Wednesday after two Palestinian missiles were launched from Gaza against Beersheba and central Israel had been lifted. The large Egyptian delegation visiting Gaza has departed.
