No countrywide lockdown planned despite 530 new covid-19 hits

Deputy Health Minister Yoav Kish asserted: “We have no plans for going back to a comprehensive lockdown,” despite the rise in coronavirus cases. “When we identify a locality with a rise in cases, we deal with it with every means at our disposal,” he said, adding that the Shin Bet tracking device is “a necessary tool. Legislation should take place as quickly as possible.”
Sunday morning saw the number of active coronavirus cases shoot up by 530 to 5,309, with 49 in serious condition and a death toll of 308.
