No progress in Iranian-IAEA talks

International Atomic Energy Agency Director Yukiya Amano and Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi decided to talk again on Oct. 31, after failing Tuesday to produce a joint statement of accord on Iran’s nuclear program. Aragchi said optimistically that he had presented the nuclear watchdog with new proposals and their talks were “productive,” whereas Amano commented cautiously: “I am very hopeful that we can come out with a good result."
