North Irish Unionist leader in London for talks with May
The North Ireland DUP leader Arlene Foster arrives in London Tuesday for critical negotiations with UK Prime Minister Theresa May on terms for a deal for the 10 DUP members to shore up the Conservatives’ minority government. Monday, the UK cabinet convened for the first time after its election setback. At a meeting of backbenchers, May admitted: “I got us into this mess [by calling a snap election] and I’ll get us out of it.”
Later Tuesday, May will hold talks with French President Emmanuel Macron that will touch on future BREXIT talks with the European Union as well as tackling terrorism.
