North Korea tests new high-thrust rocket engine

Kim Jong Un attended the ground test of a new type high-thrust rocket engine at the Sohae launch site Sunday, as US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing. Tillrson was wrapping up a swing through Asia that was dominated by deep concerns over North Korea’s nuclear and missile programs, which Washington hoped the Chinese would help to address. Kim called the test a “revolutionary breakthrough in his country’s space program.
