Number of refugees from south Syria soars to 220,000

By Saturday, the world’s newest refugee catastrophe had reached the figure of 220,00 southern Syrians in flight from massive Russian and Syrian air strikes on their towns and villages. Nearly 70,000 are encamped on Israel’s northern Golan border. While media reports focus on their assault on the Daraa region, no mention is made of the heavy Russian bombardment of the towns of Nawa and Sheikh Miskin which are closer to Golan town of Quneitra.

Where is the world outcry against the slaughter of Syrian citizens? There is no-way Assad well be able to hold onto power without a long term commitment from Russia, and Iran.
